JWIT Woman of the Year 2004
On Sunday May 2nd, lawyer and activist Jane Pepino was honoured as the 47th recipient of the JWIT Woman of the Year. Ranked as one of the top 25 lawers in Canada, Ms. Pepino is a dedicated social activist. From 1987 to 1997 she served as president of the Metro Action Committee on Violence against Women and Children, a community based organization whose goal is to define and lead systemic change at the municipal, provincial and federal levels.
